Attic Sealing

So...who knew? Before you insulate you need to seal it up! Working on sealing the tops of the walls (which are completely open)...

Using Pur-fil 1G foam. Thanks to our neighbor and Evergreen CEO (Richard Burbank)—we have at least some clue now as to how best to attack our leaky house.

Closing is set: noon this Friday

So we will be driving up either Thursday night or Friday morning to sign the papers.

If all goes well, we should be staying in the house Friday night!

Assessment in...more waiting.

The house assessment came in and we are all set with that...but apparently still need to wait again to hear back from the underwriter that the loan is set. We are told this will take one to two days. Fingers crossed.

Still waiting...

as of today we know the assessment has been done...just haven't heard back from the bank yet on the results. Hoping to hear today!

New old home.

Well, we have received our mortgage application packet and need to fill it out and get it back to the bank. After that it will be a good week or two before we find out if the property assesses...probably the biggest possible roadblock to our moving forward with the purchase.

In the meantime, we can look at the photos that our realtor shot for us:
